Well not quite, but getting there. I’ve decided it’s time I took all this making stuff a bit more seriously. It’s always been in my mind that ‘when I’m well enough’ I’d research the possibilities of earning a living from my art and craft works. Having run a business once before though, I know it won’t be easy and I have no false hopes of being spectacularly well off. I’d just like to earn a modest living one day by doing something I love (please tell me that’s not too much to ask, only I have a sneaking suspicion it might be!).
I don’t know what impulse has suddenly inspired me, probably high levels of anxiety, but I’ve decided to take a small step and set up an Etsy shop, so I’ve been over there this afternoon having a play. I haven’t got very far! And I haven’t got anything to put in it either, but a start’s a start
I’d really love it if you’d pop over and have a look, then come back and tell me what you think. Like I said, there’s not much there other than the profile (there’s a link in the right hand column) – and I’ve got a feeling that’s way too long! What sort of things do you think I could sell? I was thinking small drawings/paintings, quilts, cushion covers and small items like that. What would you buy from me? Anything?!
I bet you’re super talented and already have an Etsy shop. If you have, I’d love to hear your tips – all the possibilities, the rules and regulations seem overwhelming and it’s hard to know where to start. Well, I made up a shop name. That was a good start I think. And I like the name, which is a bit of a bonus! But then I thought, oh no does this mean I’ll have to rethink the name of this blog as well? Shouldn’t the two be the same or complementary at least? Well, it’s probably early enough days not to worry about that yet, but looking at Etsy it seems it might be easier to change the name of this blog than the name of my Etsy shop, which, by the way is…

Would really love any feedback you might have. Hope you’ve been having a fab evening? Sadly I can’t stick around to chat as I absolutely, definitely, absolutely need to get a good night’s sleep. So ta ta for now, back soon.
Love Stephie x

Wow…congrads to you! I think Etsy is just a perfect place for you and I adore the name of your shop. I know you’ll do great there…. as talented as you are. I’d love to see some of your needle cases there as well. Your profile and what you have done so far looks great! Have a great weekend and wishing you all the success you deserve!
Thanks Victoria, you’re so kind
Just wanted to reassure you that I have sent your cushion cover, I put it in the post on Fri 30 April (so just over a week ago now). Hopefully, if you haven’t already received it, it should be with you very soon – I think any postal delays are still being blamed on the Icelandic volcano! As for delays in the Stephanie Boon camp, I can only apologise…
