NARRATIVE SELF, EPHEMERAL TEXTS
Installation including full height hangings (dimensions variable) and sound work Oceanic. Paper, wax, calico, mirror, audio. 2004.

This installation was developed after an intense period of research into the self as narrative, exploring how we construct ourselves as a narratives and stories. Stephanie asked friends, family and acquaintances to describe her personality and the letters sent to her form the basis of the paper and wax hangings of the installation. The work has been exhibited at Universtiy College Falmouth and the Art House Westbourne.

OCEANIC

The sound piece made for the installation includes texts written by the artist drawn from her research, as well as quotes from Rousseau's Confessions.
